I appreciate your interest in our Family Medicine Rural Training Program!

The Conway Regional Health System has provided care for our community for over 100 years, and the addition of Dardanelle Regional Medical Center in 2019 speaks strongly to the system's growth in its goals of providing high-quality, compassionate care to the communities we serve. Being a rural Family Medicine physician is a calling unlike any other and requires managing multiple roles with compassion, understanding, and empathy. Our training program will prepare you for a changing healthcare climate that implores us all to stand up to the disparities plaguing rural and underserved areas for generations. Rural health providers advocate for better health outcomes for all people, not just those with easy access to care and resources such as housing, education, healthy food, and employment. In our program, you will build the skills needed to bridge these gaps with knowledge, enthusiasm, and determination. You will learn the interpersonal communication skills necessary to have meaningful dialogue with community leaders as an advocate for the health and well-being of those whose voices need lifting. Our faculty are prepared to guide, encourage, and support you as you grow as a physician. Your patients will be some of your best teachers. You will work with other healthcare team members who have roots and their own families in the Dardanelle/Yell County area. You will be a valued team member and, throughout your training, will develop knowledge, skills, and attitudes that will foster your ability to make a difference in the lives of patients and families.
